Suppose you never
drive your car and you have a driver of your own. You are very happy with him
as he drives your vehicle safely following all the rules of traffic and makes
you reach your destination in time.
If he starts
disobeying you and reverses all what he had been doing in the past, what will
you think of him?
Now he does not care for the traffic rules,
nor does he make you reach your destination on time. How would you react?
Certainly,
you would react strongly? You may also decide to sack him if he refuses to
comply with your orders.
Friends, similar
is the case with our body.
Our soul is
the master and the Body is the servant, like the driver quoted in the above
example.
If our Body disobeys
the Soul, it would lead to disintegration and in that case neither the body nor
the soul would progress.
Our activities
are controlled by our mind. All of us experience two types of voices within us,
one is of righteousness and the second is of deviation from the righteousness.
The first
voice is known as the divine element, the Soul (the Atma) and the second voice seems
to be of our mind. People differently
name it. But I would not name it in the traditional manner. I would call it the
voice of our Self (Body) that has so many desires to feed on.
Some desires
are basic and very necessary for the survival of our Body. We are well
acquainted with these.
But still,
our Soul does not permit the Body to satisfy even the necessary desires in
excess. It always interferes with the Body, when it demands more.
When the
body starts dominating our Soul, the degeneration starts.
So always
try to tame your Body that only needs ‘Kha lo, pi lo aur so lo’.
Feed and
ignite your Soul with your good thoughts so that actions would also be good.
